Mama Dance ! at Wildtalk Africa 2011
Mama Dance ! Music Solutions will be exhibiting at the Wildtalk Africa Wildlife Film Festival and Conference at Spier wine Estate from 28 – 31 March.
They will be distributing a specially compiled edition of the Mama Dance ! Music library DVD that contains 9 new releases, 6 of which were specially created for wildlife and nature documentary makers. “Our library has been very popular with South African documentary makers over the past 10 years. As a celebration of this we decided that 2011 would be the year we would go all out to source and compose powerfully cinematic and orchestral scores for this market. We enlisted the talents of top South African born Sydney based film composer Ryan Grogan as well as working closely with the very talented Capetonian Nic Paton . Both composers really came to the party with 3 jam packed albums full of epic film score material. The instrumentals on Africa Rising, Space and Story and Wilderness Within range from expansive majestic orchestrations right through to anxious and desolate moods so useful for documentary and in particular wildlife programming” says Craig McGahey, owner of Mama Dance ! Music Library “Other new albums that will be useful for Wildlife programming are Trance Africa Live, a classic recording of authentic African Healing and Divination music, NzeNze by West African Guitarist Mapumba, Easy Folk Pickings 2 and Cape Jazz Legends featuring Mac McKenzie, Robbie Jansen, Hilton Schilder and others” The special Wildtalk edition of the library contains two DVD’s, one of which is compiled exclusively for Documentary Film makers and includes classic Mama Dance releases like the Bush Telegraph series, Afro Hip, Zekelo, Under an African Sun, Mbira Journey’s and others.
